The Federal Government has stated that this requirement is designed to protect overseas and Australian workers, particularly where a lack of English would increase occupational health and safety risks.

 

How long is the visa for?

 

The 457 visa enables you to work on a temporary basis between 3 months and 4 years.

 

Your sponsorship approval lasts 2 years, or until all nominations have been filled, or until the sponsorship approval is cancelled, whichever happens first.
